Greetings
Hey there, I'm Michelle, the founder of The Grounded Horse Camp. Horses have been a consistent part of my life since early childhood. From a young age, I adored the sport of riding, but more significantly, I cherished the profound connection with my equine companions. As I matured, I found myself drawn to the higher echelons of equestrian competition, traveling across North America, always with my focus on my equine partners. While I'm grateful for the education, exposure, and experience these years of riding and competition provided, I realized my true passion lies in something deeper than ribbons and trophies.
For a solid decade, I poured my heart and soul into Rydervale Stables in Morrisville, VT, where my focus shifted towards teaching and training. While the thrill of competition has its place, the honor of rescue is far more rewarding. The value in nurturing capable, empowered, and knowledgeable horsemen was immeasurable and enduring.
I made the leap from hosting traditional summer camps to creating an experience centered around the horse itself, aiming to help people foster a greater ability to independently care for horses in a safe and supportive environment. The empowerment and independence gained from understanding our equine friends on a deeper level are lessons that can last a lifetime.
